M&A advisory for consumer electronics companies
Consumer electronics M&A is concentrated around a handful of strategic platforms and a steady set of PE acquirers building category portfolios. Strategic buyers underwrite on brand, distribution and the durability of attach-rate or services revenue layered on top of the device. Hardware-only brands face a narrower buyer set than those with credible recurring revenue.
The strategic buyer pool is Best Buy, Bose, Sony and Samsung at the platform end, with category-specific strategics in audio, gaming and home tech behind them. PE platforms are active in computer accessories and audio. Buyers distinguish sharply between hardware-only and hardware-plus-services, and the multiples reflect it. Flow has direct access to the corp dev teams across this set.
Flow team has relevant sector experience and has worked with consumer electronics companies across audio, wearables, home tech, computing accessories, gaming hardware and connected devices.
