Fractional CFO services in Warsaw

Warsaw is the largest tech ecosystem in Central and Eastern Europe by capital deployed - a market of 38 million people with a developed Warsaw Stock Exchange, a dense concentration of global tech R&D centres, and a pipeline of venture-backed companies that have produced pan-European exits including DocPlanner, Booksy and Packhelp.

The city's PLN-denominated economy, combined with EU structural funding and an expanding VC scene anchored by firms like MCI Capital, Tar Heel Capital and Innovation Nest, makes it the region's most active deal market outside the Nordics.

We work with Warsaw-based startups from seed to Series B+, supporting them on board packs, financial modelling, fundraise prep, KPI tracking and M&A readiness.

Warsaw startup ecosystem

What makes Warsaw's startup ecosystem distinct - sector concentrations, tech clusters and the talent pipeline that feeds the city's startup scene.

CEE's largest tech capital by deal volume

Warsaw sits at the top of the CEE funding league table, with hundreds of millions of euros deployed annually across venture and growth rounds. The Warsaw Stock Exchange's NewConnect platform provides a secondary market that few other CEE cities can match, giving founders an additional liquidity path beyond trade sales.

E-commerce, SaaS and fintech lead

Allegro - one of Europe's largest e-commerce platforms with a €8B+ market cap - is Warsaw-headquartered and anchors a dense marketplace and logistics cluster. DocPlanner (the world's largest doctor-booking platform), Booksy (appointment SaaS for beauty and wellness), and Packhelp (B2B packaging e-commerce) have all scaled globally from Warsaw roots.

Tech clusters across Mokotów, Wola and Centrum Praskie Koneser

The Służewiec district in Mokotów (dubbed the 'Polish Silicon Valley') concentrates tech R&D offices for Google, Samsung and hundreds of startups. The post-industrial Centrum Praskie Koneser campus on the right bank has become a startup and creative hub. Wola, just west of the city centre, houses fintech and SaaS companies drawn by its modern office stock.

Deep engineering and finance talent pipeline

The University of Warsaw, Warsaw University of Technology and SGH Warsaw School of Economics produce thousands of computer science, engineering and economics graduates annually. Poland has one of the highest densities of software engineers per capita in Europe, and Warsaw's talent pool is deepened by returnees from Western European tech companies.

Accelerators and angel networks active in Warsaw

Warsaw's accelerator scene is one of the most active in CEE, with both private and corporate-backed programmes running year-round. These are the most relevant programmes for venture-backed founders at pre-seed and seed.

Huge Thing

Huge Thing is Warsaw's leading early-stage accelerator and pre-seed fund, backing B2B SaaS, fintech and deep tech founders across Poland and CEE. Runs structured cohorts with hands-on mentorship and direct co-investment from its own fund.

ReaktorX

ReaktorX is a Warsaw-based accelerator run by Reaktor Warsaw, focused on early-stage startups in AI, SaaS and marketplace models. Provides equity-free funding, Warsaw office space and access to a network of senior Polish and international operators.

Startup Hub Poland

Startup Hub Poland is a government-backed programme designed to attract global founders to Warsaw and Poland, offering relocation support, soft-landing services and access to Polish investors and corporates. One of the most active public-sector startup programmes in CEE.

Google for Startups Warsaw

Google for Startups Campus Warsaw is Google's CEE hub for early-stage founders, offering free co-working, mentorship from Google engineers and programme access. Warsaw was selected as one of only a handful of European Campus cities, reflecting the city's standing as a regional tech hub.

MCI Capital

MCI Capital is one of Poland's largest and longest-running VC and PE investors, with a portfolio spanning e-commerce, fintech and internet businesses across CEE. Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, MCI has backed Allegro, iAlbatros and Windeln.de among others.

Innovation Nest

Innovation Nest is a Kraków-founded seed fund with strong Warsaw deal flow, investing in B2B SaaS companies targeting global markets. Backed DocPlanner early and has a track record of supporting Polish founders as they raise follow-on rounds from international VCs.

Warsaw-built companies that reached global scale

Warsaw has produced several of CEE's most significant venture exits - these companies are the proof points founders and investors cite when assessing the city's scale-up potential.

DocPlanner

DocPlanner is the world's largest online doctor-booking and practice-management platform, serving 30+ million patients per month across 13 countries. Founded in Warsaw in 2012, it has raised over $200M and operates under the Doctoralia brand in Southern Europe.

Allegro

Allegro is Poland's dominant e-commerce marketplace and one of Europe's largest, with a Warsaw listing and over €2B in annual revenue. Founded in 1999 and taken private by Permira, Cinven and Mid Europa before a €9B IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2020.

Booksy

Booksy is a Warsaw-born appointment-booking and management platform for the beauty and wellness industry, operating in 24 countries with millions of active clients. Has raised over $100M and counts Tiger Global and Innova Capital among its investors.

Packhelp

Packhelp is a B2B custom packaging e-commerce platform founded in Warsaw, enabling SMEs to order branded packaging at scale. Has raised $50M+ and serves customers across Europe and North America, competing directly with traditional print and packaging suppliers.

Brainly

Brainly is a Kraków-founded, Warsaw-presence peer-to-peer learning platform with 350+ million monthly users globally. Backed by Naspers and General Catalyst, it became one of Poland's most widely used ed-tech products and was subsequently acquired by Chegg.

ICEYE

ICEYE is a synthetic aperture radar satellite company with Polish co-founding roots, now headquartered in Helsinki and operating a commercial constellation. Co-founded by Pekka Laurila and Rafał Modrzewski, whose Warsaw University of Technology background gave the company its CEE engineering heritage.
