Fractional CFO services in Prague
Prague is the most internationally mature startup market in Central Europe - a CZK-denominated economy of 11 million that punches well above its weight in B2B SaaS, e-commerce infrastructure and cybersecurity.
The city has produced Productboard (product management SaaS, $1.7B valuation), Mews (hotel PMS, $1.2B), and Rohlik (grocery delivery, €1B+), proof that Prague-founded products can win global enterprise and consumer markets. An active investor base - Credo Ventures, Tensor Ventures, Kaya VC and Reflex Capital - provides seed-to-Series A continuity, with Western European funds increasingly leading Czech growth rounds.
We work with Prague-based startups from seed to Series B+, supporting them on financial modelling, unit economics, fundraise prep, investor reporting and cap table management.

Prague startup ecosystem
Central Europe's most internationally scaled startup market
Prague companies have consistently reached Series B+ and beyond with US and European institutional backing - Productboard's $125M Series D led by Dragoneer, Mews's $185M round led by Goldman Sachs, and Rohlik's €100M Series D signal that Prague is no longer a regional market but a genuine launch pad for global companies.
B2B SaaS, hospitality tech and e-commerce lead
Enterprise software is Prague's strongest cluster, anchored by Productboard and Mews. Rohlik and its parent Velvet Care show that deep-supply-chain e-commerce can scale from Czechia. Cybersecurity has roots here too - Avast (now Norton LifeLock/Gen Digital), originally Czech-founded, established a security engineering talent base that newer startups like ThreatMark draw from.
Karlín and Vinohrady as the startup core
Karlín, once a post-industrial district north of the city centre, is now Prague's most concentrated startup and creative-office neighbourhood - home to co-working spaces, VC offices and tech-company HQs. Vinohrady, adjacent to Karlín, houses a growing cluster of SaaS and fintech companies. Smíchov on the left bank is adding office stock with a younger tech cohort.
Engineering and computer science talent pipeline
Czech Technical University in Prague and Charles University produce engineering, computer science and mathematics graduates that sustain the city's engineering density. CTU's Faculty of Information Technology is particularly strong in software engineering and AI. The Czech Republic has one of the highest proportions of STEM graduates in the EU, giving Prague startups a reliable local hiring base.
Prague's active VC and early-stage investor base
Prague's investor ecosystem is anchored by a cluster of Czech- and CEE-focused seed and Series A funds that back local founders before international VCs arrive. These are the most active investors at pre-seed and seed.
Credo Ventures
Credo Ventures is Prague's most established seed and Series A fund, founded in 2009. Backed Productboard, Deepnote, Rossum and Kiwi.com. Invests €500k–€3M tickets into B2B SaaS, marketplace and deep tech companies across CEE with a strong Prague anchoring.
Tensor Ventures

JIC is the leading Czech innovation and accelerator body, headquartered in Brno with strong Prague connections. Runs the JIC Venture programme and the CzechStarter accelerator, supports early-stage deep tech and life-science founders, and co-invests alongside private funds through its network.
