VC fundraising for consumer electronics companies

Consumer electronics venture sits in a narrower band than software. Investors are selective on hardware unit economics and gravitate to brands with credible attach-rate or services revenue layered on top. Rounds remain available for category leaders with defensible IP; undifferentiated hardware has faced a tougher environment.

The investors who write hardware cheques are a small set. Consumer funds with hardware portfolios sit alongside a handful of deep-tech-adjacent funds, and Bose Ventures, Sony Innovation Fund and Samsung NEXT write at the platform-adjacent end. They all read BOM volatility, warranty exposure and the attach-rate question first. Flow has direct relationships across this set and PE platforms active in computer accessories.

Flow has experience running VC fundraising processes for consumer electronics companies across audio, wearables, home tech, computing accessories, gaming hardware and connected devices. Our extensive investor network spans early-stage seed funds, growth-stage investors, and strategic and corporate VC arms.
