VC fundraising for automotive software companies
Automotive software VC has rotated meaningfully since the 2021 peak. Capital has moved from headline autonomy bets toward software-defined vehicle platforms, OEM-aligned ADAS and infotainment, and the energy and charging stack - where contracted OEM programmes are the underwriting test. Generalists have largely exited; specialist mobility investors and a tight group of CVCs now do most of the deals.
Investors in this category are a mix of mobility-specialist VCs, growth funds focused on industrial and deep-tech software, and a small set of OEM and Tier 1 corporate venture arms that invest alongside their commercial programmes. Flow has direct relationships across the mobility-specialist funds and the OEM and Tier 1 CVCs that actually back automotive software.
Flow has experience running VC fundraising processes for automotive software companies across ADAS and autonomy, in-vehicle infotainment, vehicle data and telematics, EV charging, and dealer and aftermarket systems. Our extensive investor network spans early-stage seed funds, growth-stage investors, and strategic and corporate VC arms.
