VC fundraising for 3D printing companies
Additive went through one of the cleanest boom-bust capital cycles of the last decade. Public-market multiples on hardware platforms collapsed after the SPAC-era listings, the generalist investor base exited, and the active capital pool today is narrower and more disciplined. Investors who stayed underwrite on installed base, materials revenue and qualified parts pipeline rather than headline order books.
The active investor mix runs across deep-tech specialists (Lux, DCVC, 8VC) and advanced-manufacturing growth funds for hardware and materials platforms, with corporate venture arms of the chemicals and materials majors active on powder, resin and consumables operators. Sovereign-backed industrial vehicles have also been steady participants on capital-intensive rounds. Flow has direct relationships with the specialist funds, growth investors and CVCs active in the category.
Flow has experience running VC fundraising processes for 3D printing companies across industrial hardware, polymer and metal materials, software and workflow platforms, and aerospace and medical service bureaus. Our extensive investor network spans early-stage seed funds, growth-stage investors, and strategic and corporate VC arms.
