VC fundraising for EventsTech companies
Investor appetite for EventsTech has rebuilt alongside the live recovery, but the bar is higher than pre-2020. The COVID reset wrote off whole categories of bookings and seat-management software, and what's funded now needs take rate, repeat purchase and post-event monetisation rather than a single recovery year. Capital is concentrated in ticketing, event management and onsite technology with clear unit economics.
Capital comes from consumer marketplace and live-entertainment investors who underwrite GMV and take rate, B2B SaaS funds underwriting the event-software and venue stack, and the corporate venture arms of the ticketing platforms, live entertainment groups and venue operators - including the investment activity attached to Live Nation, Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and Endeavor. Flow has direct relationships across the specialist funds and these strategic CVCs, which is what gets a credible lead conversation rather than a slow pass.
Flow has experience running VC fundraising processes for events-tech companies across primary ticketing, secondary marketplaces, event management and attendee software, venue and onsite technology, and live entertainment platforms. Our extensive investor network spans early-stage seed funds, growth-stage investors, and strategic and corporate VC arms.
